Modern Witchcraft is a Neo-Pagan movement which is said to be influenced by such figures as Gerald Gardner, Alex Sanders, Doreen Valiente, Z. Budapest and Starhawk.  Drawing from the "Great Goddess" in her forms of Artemis, Astarte, Aphrodite, Diana, and Hecate.  There are many such godesses, with many names, according to Pagan religions.  Pagan's also worship the goddess within, yeilding their faith in the power of the feminine.

LUNER GODDESSES - AND WOMEN PLAY THE PAGAN'S PARAMOUNT ROLE

"As such, it draws on many of the ancient pantheons, differing from modern Western magic primarily in its emphasis on lunar goddesses rather than solar gods.  In modern witchcraft, the women rather than the men play the paramount role; and members of the coven regularly meet at sabbaths to perform seasonal rituals.  These rituals invariably involve the invocation of the goddess in one of her forms: and the ceremony of 'drawing down the moon,' in which the lunar energy is drawn into the body of the High Priestess within the magic circle (The Dictionary of the Esoteric - Nevill Drury - Watkins Publishing - London).

"Wicca: A Guide For The Solitary Practitioner," by Scott Cunningham, writes on page 5, "Wicca, in common with many other religions, recognizes Deity as dual.  It reveres both the Goddess and the God."  Cunningham also acknowledges Wicca to hold the same doctrine of Reincarnation, just as Eastern religions.   And that we live in a Universe with many physical realities, with the moral belief, "Do what you want, as long as you harm none."

"Pagan religions worshipping the goddess within, will be a movement of faith that will expotentially grow, as the New Age brings forth the 'feminine' spiritual role in the male and female ratio of esoteric knowledge.  This is part of the New Age - end time forward cycle, within the astrological belief systems of the Age of Aquarious.  God's word gives credence to such prophecy, as the book of Revelation yeilds much in feminine symbology.  Christians should heed the warning, as mixing false gods within your faith, brings about life and death consequences.  For God demands, 'I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I would that you were cold or hot.  So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth (Revelation 3:15-16)."  -  Synthia Esther / 6:32 pm, Saturday, December 5, 2009 

"A TWIST OF FAITH" BY BERIT KJOS, NEW LEAF PRESS, OUTLINES THE GODDESS ROLE ENTERING MAINSTREAM RELIGION

Berit Kjos is convinced that millions of women are traveling down cultural freeways to self-made spirituality, replacing Biblical faith with feminist myths and goddess worship.  Kjos writes (page 8), "She had begun to find herself, she said.  Her search had lead her beyond the familiar voices that had provided "pat answers" to her spiritual questions.  The Biblical God no longer seemed relevant or benevolent.  A college teacher had been especially helpful in her journey toward self discovery.  This teacher - counselor called herself a witch - one who believes in the power of magic formulas and rituals to invoke power from Spiritual forces."

A WITCH'S CONJURE

She held the chalice (Witch's cup), skyclad (meaning naked), up to the light of the moon, and drank its consecrated wine.   They danced in the moonlight giving glory to Nature's Spirits.  On Beltane day, placing exact time and measure, she invoked the spirits of fertility, giving rite and ritual.  Such was the meeting of the witches' coven, and the ceremony on the Witches' Sabbath on May 1st.  Such secret ceremony, held at specific times of the year, marked transitions of the seasons, and most always ended in a *sexual orgy.

Today's modern witchcraft is termed a form of Nature Worship.  With the main sabbaths being All Hallows' Eve (Halloween), the end of autumn and beginning of winter; Imbolc (February 1), spring; Beltane (May 1), an important celebration of fertility; and Lammas (August 1), beginning of the harvest.   Pagan religions such as Wiccia, believe in Animism, which contends everything, even the universe itself,  has a soul and spirit.

CASTING OF SPELLS - WITCH FRANCESCA De GRANDIS

The casting of spells is a practice of much spiritual fervor within Pagan religions.   I provide an excert from Francesca De Grandis's book, "Be a Goddess!"  Published by HarperSanFrancisco (a division of HarperCollins).  Francesca De Grandis, is the daughter of a Sicilian witch.  She completed a said to be, rare seven year training to become a Celtic Shaman in the Faerie tradition.  A teacher in such enchated magick and mysticism of Goddess spirituality, De Grandis writes (page 226),"Part of empowerment is casting spells for positive attributes.  If you lack courage, cast a spell for it.  If you want peace of mind, cast a spell for it.  Use the Spell Itself for whatever you truly desire to be!  Empowerment is also casting spells for the good things in life.  Otherwise we get caught in a pseudospiritual mode, thinking that spirituality is something other than embracing the gifts the Goddess has given us.  We are here to enjoy our lives - and I mean that in the most mundane way it can be taken." 

WHY DO PAGANS AND WITCHS WORSHIP NATURE, GOD'S CREATION, WHEN THEY CAN WORSHIP JESUS, THE CREATOR AND GOD?

Pagan goddess, god, and other esoteric worship yields a very strong form of power and energy rush.  Those who participate, like the power and control their worship and ritual spells provide.   Of course, we know where and from whom this source of power derives.  Satan.  Such worship is a part of the darkside of Satanic oppression.   The spirits (demons) they worship are a part of Satan's deceptions.  Wthin the word of God, these types of spirits are called Lying Spirits (1st Kings 22:22-23; 2nd Thessalonians 2:9-12).  And Seducing Spirits, which are religious spirits which bring forth false doctrines uttered by demons (1st Timothy 4:1). 

For any occult and esoteric knowledge and magick practice that casts a power unto ones self, is not of God, the Holy Father.  As such, Witchs consecrate their efforts to obtain what they believe is an ulimate form of power.  Whereas Christians give up their power in complete surrender and trust to Jesus Christ, their Holy Father, Savior and Lord.   It is by faith that Christian's depend on God's unseen, mighty hand of providence.   I for one rather depend on the creator and source of all power, God Himself, to know what is best for me.  And as my personal testimony attests to, "God always has your back, when you give your life to Him."  Woe to the person who wavers in their faith.

GOD THE FATHER IS THE CREATOR OF ALL, INCLUDING NATURE'S COURSE AND ACTION.   HE DOES NOT ENDURE SUCH EVIL PAGAN WORSHIP!

"Then all men who were aware that their wives were burning sacrifices to other gods, along with all the women who were standing by, as a large assembly, including all the people who were living in Pathros in the land of Egypt, responded to Jeremiah saying,  'As for the message that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we are not going o listen to you!  But rather we will ceretainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths, by burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out libations to her, just as we ourselves, our forefathers, our kings and our princes did in he cities of Judah and in the streets of Jereusalem; for then we had plenty of good, and were well off, and saw no mistfortune.'

'But since we stopped burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out libations to her, we have lacked everything and have met our end by the sword and by famine.'  And, said the women, 'When we were burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven, and were pouring out libations to her, was it without our husbands that we made for her sacrificial cakes in her image and poured out libations to her?'

"Then Jeremiah said to all the people, to the men amd women - even to all the people who were giving him such an answer - saying, 'As for the smoking sacrifices that you burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your forefathers, your kings and your princes, and the people of the land, did not all this come into His mind?'  "So the Lord was no longer able to endure it, because of the evil of your deeds, because of the abominations which you have committed; thus your land has become a ruin, an object of horror and a curse, without an inhabitant, as it is this day.  Because you have burned sacrifices and have sinned against the Lord and not obeyed the voice of the Lord or walked in His law, His statues or His testimonies, therefore this calamity has befallen you, as it has this day."

FOR THOSE WHO OBEY GOD'S LAWS, STATUES, AND HIS TESTIMONIES, HIS DEEDS ARE AWESOME!

Psalm 65:5-13

"By awesome deeds Thou dost answer us in the righteousness, O God of our salvation, Thou who art the trust of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest sea; Who dost establish the mountains by His strength, Being girded with might; Who does still the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.  And they who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Thy signs; Thou dost make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.  Thous dost visit the earth, and cause it to overflow;  Thou dost greatly enrich it; The stream of God is full of water; Thou dost prepare their grain, for thus Thou dost prepare the earth.  Thou dost water its furrows abundantly; Thou dost settle its ridges; Thou dost soften it with showers; Thou dost bless its growth.  Thou hast crowned the year with Thy bounty, and Thy paths drip with fatness.  The pastures of the wilderness drip, And the hills gird themselves with rejoicing.  The meadows are clothed with flocks, And the valleys are covered with grain; They shout for joy, yes, they sing."  -  Psalm 65:5-13

Psalm 66:1-20

"SHOUT joyfully to God, all the earth; SIng glory of His name; Make His praise glorious.  Say to God, 'How awesome are Thy works!  Because  of the greatness of Thy power Thine enemies will give feigned obedience to Thee.  All the earth will worship Thee, And will sing praises to Thee; TheY will sing praises to Thee: They will sing praises to Thy name. 

'Come and see the works of God, Who is awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men.  He turned the sea into dry land; They passed through the river on foot; There let us rejoice in Him!  He rules by His might forever; His eyes keep watch on the nations; Let not the rebellious exalt themselves.

'Bless our God, O peoples, And sound His praise abroad, who keeps us in life, And does not allow our feet to slip.  For thou hast tried us, O God; Thous hast refined us as silver is refined.  Thou didst bring us into the net; Thou didst lay an oppressive burden upon our loins.  Thou didst make men ride over our heads; We sent through fire and through water; Yet thous didst bring us out into a place of abundance.

PRAISE GOD FOR THE HEAVENS, AS HE PROVIDES RAIN FOR THE EARTH

"Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; Sing praises to our God on the lyre, Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.  He gives to the beast its food, and to the young ravens which cry."  -  Psalm 147:7-9

FULL MOON DATES -

Say a prayer to God in Thanks for All He has provided. The Sun, Moon, and Stars are a wonder to behold.  Our God - the one true God, Jesus Christ, created them all.   To Yahweh, Jesus Christ, all glory and honor belong to You, oh Lord!

CAN A WITCH, PAGAN, OR THOSE INVOLVED IN THE OCCULT, REPENT AND BECOME A CHRISTIAN?  OR IS THEIR SIN UNPARDONABLE?
